A top trend for fall...

the loafer--especially hot in an animal print!

Aren't these fabulous looking flat loafers for fall! I just love both styles--fabulous worn alone with skinny jeans or khakis and worn with tights or knee socks and a skirt--they're on my wishlist for sure!

The first shoe is the Steven by Steve Madden Madee--I absolutely love this slipper style loafer--one of the hottest styles of loafer for 2011! The leopard print Madee is hair calf with leather lining.

The other shoe is the AK Anne Klein Lizbeth penny loafer. This loafer is suede with patent leather trim--love this! This shoes also comes in solid black for a super preppy look!

Have you thought much about storing those designer shoes. Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian organizes her shoes on shelves by color with one shoe facing front and the other shoe facing to the back to save space.

Kate Spade is launching a line of lipsticks for fall--coming out online and in stores in early September--called Supercalifragilipsticks--oh my heavens, this is simply supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, if you ask me!

These lipsticks, which will sell for $24 each, were created in collaboration with Lipstick Queen founder Poppy King.

The colors are Pop Art Pink (sheer pink), Fuchsia Fete (sheer fuchsia), Bashful Blush (sheer nude), and Adventurous Red (sheer red)--all are vibrant sheer shades in a high-shine lipstick/lip gloss/lip balm formula.

You can find these Supercalifragilipsticks at katespade.com in September.

Today I'm loving the Anthropologie wool and silk scarf--such a pretty floral pattern!

It's not always easy to know which scarves to buy--there are so many from which to choose! Scarves come in lots of sizes and colors including gorgeous solid colors, florals and geometic designs--as far as color goes--take a look at your wardrobe including accessories for the colors you really like to wear and use this for a guide.

The long scarf is probably one of the most versatile sizes. I've included a diagram of a couple cool ways to tie a long scarf. Another useful size is the small square scarf--see the video below on a few ways to style a square scarf. I especially like the scarf necklace that's created!

Isn't this street style look with the yellow dress with black accessories fabulous! I love black and yellow together--such a clean look!

And yellow is a sunny color--wearing yellow always lifts my spirits--it makes me happy--if you don't have a yellow dress in your wardrobe you need to run out and find one and you'll see how happy it can make you feel! Wearing yellow is one of the reasons I love summer!

What makes this dress look so chic besides the color: the cutout on the sleeves, the skinny belt, the fedora hat, the shoes with the ruffle detail, and the Chanel bag!

Yes, Toms Shoes has paired up with Ashley and Mary-Kate of The Row to create a new design perfect for fall and winter--the shoes in this collection are made of luxurious Italian wool and cashmere so they're a bit pricy at $140-150 a pair. The collection includes three choices-- heather gray, a dark-plaid print, and black--I'm really loving the dark-plaid! These shoes have a breathable lining made of lamb's leather, a black suede insole, and a latex arch insert.

The Row limited edition collection for Toms Shoes is now available online through August 19, 2011--if you're a Toms fan you'll want to get these right away before they're sold out!

Isn't this look with dramatic blue eyeshadow gorgeous! These eyes are those of Helene of Mon Blog de Fille--a beauty blog.

I just love this blue on Helene--she's fair with blond hair and can wear blue eyeshadow which works equally well for someone with fair skin and black hair. This isn't to say that if you aren't fair skinned you can't wear blue--a blue with more of a purple hue can work well with other skin tones.

If you're going for a bright eye, which this definitely is, keep the rest of your makeup more neutral especially the lipstick--just as Helene has. A clown look could very easily be created with bright eyes and lips!

I love wearing black--I've always worn it and probably always will--and, besides, it's sexy and always in style! This isn't to say that I don't like color--I absolutely love color, but I think black should be an important part of any wardrobe.

These street style looks from Paris show just how chic a monochromatic black look can be! There's a certain chicness which black has-it's sophisticated! One of the chicest looks of all is a monochromatic black look--with everything black including shoes and bag. Definition can be given to a monochromatic black look with stand-out accessories--carry a black beaded or black patent leather bag. Wear either silver and gold jewelry both look fabulous worn with black.

The clutch is one of the hottest bags for fall. A clutch tucked under the arm can make for a super chic look!

This particular fold-over clutch is part of the Clare Vivier bag collection.

Clare Vivier makes a large variety of butter-soft leather bags-- from a small pouch to the largest tote. Her bags come in wonderful bright and neutral shades and a to-die-for leopard print for fall. My favorite colors are the orange and the leopard-print--absolutely perfect for fall and winter!

Today's fashion essential is the little silk tee. A fashion basic for sure, the silk tee is a year-round piece to be worn alone or under a blazer.

One can't have too many silk tees in both solid colors and prints. Tees can be found in cotton, rayon and silk--a few of each in various colors and patterns can fill out a wardrobe.

These beautiful silk tees are by Rachel Rose of Brooklyn NY. They're so pretty--perfect for summer.

Rachel hand paints each of her silk tees using environmentally friendly acid-based dyes and water. Each tee is a one-of-a-kind work of art.

Pan Am ABC Series & Women's Retro Mod 60's Fashion

Can't wait for this new series...

starting late September on ABC!!

Pan Am, short for Pan American World Airways, is the title of a new series on ABC focusing on stories about stewardesses and pilots of the 1960s. The series is based on the experiences of executive producer Nancy Hult Ganis, a flight attendant for Pan Am for seven years.

I love retro fashion and I can't wait to see lots of mod 60's outfits, I hope --so exciting!

The first show airs on September 25.
