Isn't this turquoise nail color fabulous with the turquoise bracelet! This image reminded me of how much fun it is to coordinate nail color with jewelry pieces. I have a coral bracelet--that I love to wear in the summertime with a white outfit and coral nail polish-so very pretty!

Please don't get the idea that I think color should be matchy-matchy---on the contrary, I usually wear a nail color that's fairly neutral to go with my skin tone and most of the time it works with whatever I'm wearing.

I do love having fun with nail color especially in summer with all the vibrant colors in clothing and jewelry!

Today I'm loving these maxi skirt looks with a definite bohemian vibe! I do love wearing long skirts for summer. Mid-calf or ankle length skirts are my favorite-I don't like the floor-length skirts and dresses that have become popular--I don't like the look of the floor-length skirt and I don't like the idea of my skirt dragging on the ground!

Here are some nice options for putting together a long skirt look. I especially like the maxi skirt with the black strappy sandals-a strappy shoe is perfect to wear with a long skirt--you can wear a strappy flat or heel--both can look equally chic--a wedge heel is my favorite but sometimes a flat is just more practical! And, of course, boots always work with a long skirt!

And be sure to try a floppy hat-I'm not a hat person myself, but a floppy hat is so cool with a long skirt for a boho look. They'll be tons of floppy straw hats in lots of colors for summer--the straw hat may be a better option than a felt hat for those of us who are not so much into hats. I know there's a black floppy straw hat in my future!

Today I'm loving this Rebecca Minkoff clutch--this is the 3 Zip Rocker bag. Bold zippers like this bag has are a trendy look and in this case they're functional which I love.

Organization is so important in a bag even a smaller bag like this one-this bag measures approximately 9x7inches and has both outside and inside pockets. This clutch bag has a 22-inch strap so it can can be worn as a cross-body bag too--I love this feature.

The hottest footwear trend for 2011 is the platform shoe. These platforms are by Jeffrey Campbell, one of the truly cutting edge shoe designers today.

Here are three distinct styles of platforms-a wedge style platform, a flat platform shoe-also called a flatform, and a chunky heel platform. The wedge style is a suede espadrille and would work well with shorts or a short skirt. The flatform is a dressy shoe with a pretty ankle strap. The flat platform is more comfortable for all day wear than a heel-this style feels like a flat but adds height. A flat platform can be worn with dresses and pants. The chunky platform pictured here has a 70's vibe and would be cool worn with wide leg denim pants.

Many of these colors look fabulous! There seems to be a few nice nude colors to choose from which I love--I'm always looking for the perfect nude shade!

Women's Fashion Trends Dresses Pants Skirts Lookbook Spring Summer 2011 Pictures

these Free People Lookbook looks!

I spotted these fresh, spring looks in the Free People March lookbook and just had to share them with you!

Isn't the styling of these looks fabulous-I'm especially taken with the dresses! There's a maxi-dress, a mini-dress and a sundress with a high low hemline--shorter in the front-longer in the back, the new hemline trend for 2011! I love the maxi-dress with the boots and floppy hat and the flat sandals they've styled with the other two dresses.

The baggy pants in the pant look are fabulous looking-they're tie-dyed rayon which I love and they have ties at the ankle! The shorts are semi-see-through cable knit-I love these with the soft plaid shirt and the denim cropped jacket. And isn't the skirt look pretty-here again is the high-low hemline in a super feminine floral print. This look is styled with summery platforms which I love! See the complete March Lookbook here.

Yes, I love a trench coat no matter what style it takes--there are certainly lots of styles-all variations on the classic trench first designed by Burberry during WWI. The popularity of the trench coat was spurred on by fictional characters like Dick Tracy, Humphrey Bogart's Rick Blaine, and Inspector Clouseau and legendary film actress Audrey Hepburn!

A classic trench coat is something every woman should own--throw it on over almost anything and belt it up for a chic look. And, of course, it's the perfect spring and fall coat-to wear when it's raining or when a lighter coat is needed.

A classic trench can be an investment piece if a Burberry is what you're after-it's certainly worth it though and will be a wardrobe staple for years to come! Once you have a classic trench it's fun to have a couple other trench coat style variations-and there are so many to choose including lots of colors and varying lengths and fits--from full cut coats that look fabulous belted to more fitted styles. I'd love to have the cape trench coat pictured here!
