Women wearing menswear pieces--creating a masculine/feminine style, has become so chic over the last few years! I love this trend--it's comfortable, very smart looking and can be fun in a quirky sort of way!

Diane Keaton in her role as Annie Hall brought wearing menswear into the female consciousness in the '70s and it's still with us! Costume designer Ruth Morley and Ralph Lauren created Annie's masculine/feminine look which Annie wore with a certain joie de vivre. This mix of of masculine and feminine is sometimes called androgynous fashion.

There are lots of menswear inspired looks in this Paul Smith video!

Love the menswear looks especially the first one with the leather jacket and boots! She's wearing a simple t-shirt, isn't she!

Hi Julie--Yes, it looks like a basic t-shirt to me. It's so simple but so chic! I love that look too!

Great look. I still say Annie Hall did it best, maybe enhanced by Ruth Morley and clothed by Ralph Lauren, but it seems to me that was actually how Diane Keaton dressed.

Hi Natalie--Good to hear from you! I did read a quote by Woody Allen that she showed up at the set wearing a menswear look and they let her go with it! I think the truth of who styled her probably lies somewhere in the middle--so I think you may be right!
