HA! For once I am ahead of the game. I bought a black cashmere coat a month ago. It is stunning, as I recall. Very chic, I believe.
I bought it on a girls getaway and knew I wouldn't be able to smuggle it into the house unnoticed, so I left it with a friend, figuring that I wouldn't need it for a while in Sacramento's hot summer, and by the time I got it back I could truthfully tell my husband, "I've had this coat for a while!"
