One of the hottest hair trends for long hair is this long, loose, messy 1960's style ponytail. I love this up-do and if I had long hair I'd be wearing this hot pony for sure! This style does work best with really long hair--although it can work with a little shorter length too. The messiness quality is really a looser look as opposed to the super slick up-do looks which are also popular. If you prefer a more messy style simple pull out some strands on the sides and at the nape of the neck.
The looks pictured here, from the runway of Australian designer Shakuhachi, were created by the Cloud 9 hair team led by Paloma Rose Garciaare. The team created this low ponytail--a la the 1960s and Brigitte Bardot--using a wide iron and products to add texture to the hair.
This ponytail style has a middle part for a bit of a bohemian feel which I love! But if a middle part doesn't work for you this low pony can also be styled with a side part and side-swept bangs for an equally chic look! For some added variety this loose, low ponytail can be braided or styled into a bun for two more hot looks.
