head scarves of all types!
head scarves of all types!

Headscarves have become an important fashion accessory for spring and summer 2011. Scarves were an important accessory on the spring runways--they were worn in a variety of ways including the classic tied under the chin, at the back of the neck and the bohemian style headband.
I use neck and head scarves with so many outfits to add a splash of color and/or pattern to a look! A head scarf can be so much fun--your whole look can be enhanced with the right scarf.
It's sometimes hard to know where to begin with a headscarf--the trick is to find a couple of looks which work for you and stick with those. Some looks require a large square and others long oblong scarves. If you're like me you have have some of each in your closet to play with.
I've included two videos here to show how to tie a headscarf in lots of different styles.
The first video shows how to use a rectangular scarf like a headband to hold the hair back--I love the second technique shown-how to create a look with a side knot-so very pretty!
The second video was created for women who have lost their hair through chemotherapy and it demonstrates how to tie scarves that completely cover the head! This video shows how to tie a bandana with a square scarf, how to dress up a store bought turban type hair covering, and how to tie a rosette scarf. A fabulous video!
