this leather cross-body mini bag from Anthropologie!

Isn't this a beautiful looking mini bag! I just love small bags-they're almost like jewelry to me! This bag looks beautifully crafted and reviewers report that it's well-made, soft and expensive looking! This is a crossbody bag which I love as opposed to a clutch. When I carry a clutch I'm constantly worried about losing it, but with a crossbody bag like this one, I just slip it on and relax! Anthropologie calls this color yellow and reviewers characterize the color as a dark mustard. Wouldn't this color look stunning with dark purples, olives, browns and blacks!

Women's Pants Wearing Bright Colored Red Trousers 2010 2011

Wearing red trousers...

can be easy and fabulous worn with black!

I spotted this image and I just had to post it! It reminded me and I'm reminding you not to shy away from brightly colored trousers, but to wear and enjoy them with black for a fabulous look! Black is a fabulous basic as you all know and paired with a bright color, black and the contrasting color can be beautiful. The one problem I have with black is it becomes washed out very quickly! I always wash black with blacks in cold water and I even turn them inside out which helps a lot. Despite my best efforts, over time I find I have to replace black pieces. So baby your blacks and replace them as needed for a fresh crisp look!

Yes, this is a Donna Karan cozy sweater in a striped long-sleeve tee version! Love this and it isn't even tied! What a wardrobe basic this is and stripes are so, so hot! Oh, an added surprise- this cozy is made of a delicate lurex fabric for some subtle glitz, so this top could be worn both casual and dressy! I discovered this sweater at DKNY. They all work together beautifully topped off by the oversize sunglasses. This look is perfectly on trend since shorts and short skirts with tights are an important fashion look for the months ahead. Also camel coats and jackets are hot in all shades from light tan to a rich gold color including this mustard shade.

Today it's a basic...

a Levi's new slim Trucker Jacket!

Isn't this a neat looking Levi's jacket. This is the new Levi's trucker jacket-it's cropped at the waist and has a slimmer fit than the regular trucker style. I love the slim cut of this jacket and the shorter length! This is such a wardrobe basic for fall and winter. I particularly like the black denim to go with so many looks especially black skinny jeans and any print with black in it! I love to layer this type of jacket over a tee and I usually roll up the sleeves.

Oh my gosh I'm loving this romantic maxi dress! I think this is a Chloe dress and isn't the color to die for! Love the pleated skirt and the large romantic bow! This maxi dress is worn here with ballet flats which can work depending on the length of the maxi-dress. Maxi-dresses are a little tricky to fit in terms of length and can be worn with just about any height heel.

Aren't these beautiful clogs! These are from Hasbeens the makers of high quality clogs in Sweden. Their earthy designs are right out of the 1970s. Swedish Hasbeens shoes are handmade in a small factory in Sweden, using only Swedish alder wood and lime tree as well as vegetable-tanned, natural grain leather. While they make other styles I love the high heeled ankle boot style pictured. This is the High Heeled Johdpur Boot. This boot has a leather upper and a wood amd crepe sole. The heel measures three inches. This ankle boot comes in other fabulous colors too!

Women's Boots Distressed Suede Leather Short Ankle Boots Sam Edelman "Farell" 2010 2011

Today I'm loving...

these distressed suede ankle boots!

Aren't these cool looking suede ankle boots! This is the Sam Edelman Farell boot. There's so much to love about these boots that I'm not sure where to begin! The distressed look is sooo hot-they have that worn, loved look which I adore! They're also the perfect ankle height to wear with skinny jeans or with tights and a skirt. Love the back zipper for easy on and off and isn't the chunky stacked heel attractive. This boot has a bit of a western flair but looks pretty generic to me if you're not hot on western which I'm not!
