What's a hot fashion trend for some...

combining girlie and edgy pieces!

Girlie and edgy paired together is a style trend I'm having a hard time wrapping my aesthetic sense around, but here it is and I suppose, as it usually happens, this look will start to make sense at some point. Anyway, Jessica of What I Wore blog put out a style challenge to fellow fashion bloggers to pair something girlie and sweet with something rougher and edgier. This look is by Kate of O My Heart blog. Tory Burch Handbags Rattan Purse Summer 2010 Clutch Bag

Today I'm wishing it were summer or at least spring-but here in California it's more like winter with almost nonstop cold rain! So to brighten my spirit I was looking online for things that scream summer and this rattan clutch jumped out at me! This Tory Burch clutch purse is rattan with a metallic leather strip and logo hardware. It has a leather flap and magnetic closure and it measures 4" H x 10" W x 3" D.

This is the new Karla's Closet for Coach bag-designed in collaboration with Karla of Karla's Closet blog. Yes, this is a vintage inspired bag, as we would guess, it's a style Karla would and should design! But isn't this a hip oversize clutch bag! I love the strapping detail, the turn-lock closure and the chain on the strap, and, of course, the strap is removable to make it a true clutch purse. This bag looks like it's made of pebbled leather which I love!

Aren't these ruffled tops pretty. I see ruffles everywhere and, as yet, have not purchased a single ruffled piece. I discovered these tops at J. Crew. They're both pretty and look so versatile! I could dress them up for an evening out or wear them with jeans for a fun day shopping! Ruffles used to be limited to young girls but now ruffles are for everyone!
