Isn't this Tracy Reese peplum strapless dress for spring fabulous!

I'm loving the silhouette of this Tracy Reese modern, yet sweetly feminine strapless dress!

I love, love, love this macau green color! I located this strapless peplum dress, pictured here on the Tracy Reese Spring 2009 Runway, at eLuxury. The fabulous silk and linen fabric of this dress is embossed with a geometric pattern. Asymmetrical seams crisscross to form a gorgeous bodice and a pleated peplum at the waist forms a tulip shape to drape over a straight skirt.

Also on the Spring Runway was this watercolor garden print. This fabulous silk floral strapless dress has an empire waist with a pretty tie ribbon in the front, a straight skirt, and a double peplum. Love this silhouette! Isn't this a romantic dress! Like a Monet painting! And don't you love the chandelier earrings! So fabulous! See this at eLuxury.

Notes from the Tracy Reese Runway:

The young, romantic, natural makeup look for the Tracy Reese Spring 2009 collection was created by Mally Roncal of Mally Beauty.

Eyes: Peachy shadow, brown and black liner and heavy mascara.

Face: Creamy peach blush applied to cheekbones and blended up toward the eye.

Lips: An apricot shimmer lip gloss.

Nails: Models wore Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen in Tassel a gold nail polish.

Hairstylist Nathanial Hawkins created a messy bun-a cross between a braid and a bun- a sleek, pulled-back effortless looking style!

Fashion Design New Tribal Safari Style Trends Spring Summer 2009

Wearing the New Tribal Safari Trend

Louis Vuitton Safari Runway photo Tribal style is hot! You may know this trend as safari or global fusion-it's a mix of African and Asian ethnic fashion influences. The global village idea it reflected here! This neutral fabulously belted tunic is from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 Runway. This tunic, layered over a bright shell, has been translated into a tribal look by adding chunky tribal style jewelry-including a chunky necklace, bold hoop earrings, and chunky bangles. An animal print bag and shoes ornamented with beads and feathers complete the look.

Just Cavalli Tribal Runway Photo Just Cavalli Spring 2009 Runway Photo
The tribal safari trend was seen in flowing animal prints on the Just Cavalli Spring 2009 Runway. Wear a bit of animal print-a blouse, a vest, a jacket- with basic black or khaki trousers for an easy tribal look.

Emanuel Ungaro fashion show spring 2009 photo At Emanuel Ungaro the global fusion look rocked in this stunning brightly hued piece with a fabulous beaded belt. I'm really not loving the hat! To rock this look (without the hat) add solid color bright pieces in rich red, deep yellow, or vermillion to your wardrobe along with beaded accessories.

Marni runway spring 2009 Photo Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 Runway Photo
The tribal look showed brillantly at Marni and Mark Jacobs in bold patterns and accessories. Chunky necklaces and bangles combined to create a chic tribal feel. Chunky accessories, especially a chunky necklace and a stack of chunky bangles, added to a basic pant and jacket can instantly update your look!

Women's Burberry Trench Coat With Animal Print Boots For Spring

Women's Burberry Trench Coat
With Animal Print Boots For Spring

Ice storm photo This time of year wouldn't you love to leave this cold, icy weather behind! I know I would! It's the time of year when I start thinking about trading out my winter things for lighter spring attire to get me through the rainy season.

I'm looking forward to trading my winter coats for a new spring trench-maybe something with a removable liner-love the versatility of a removable liner!

Burberry Women's Trench Coat PhotoBurberry Women's Trench Coat Spring 2009 Runway Photo

And here's a to-die-for trench! Isn't this Burberry double-breasted trench fabulous looking! This is clearly an investment, a coat to last for many years-so versatile, it can be worn with a suit to the office and with jeans for the weekend! This is the Burberry Double Breasted Technical Twill Jacket. This trench seems to have it all: buckle-tab cuffs, button-tab pockets, shoulder epaulets, a cool wide buckle belt, a detachable hood and a cozy zip-out liner. And isn't the generous cut of this coat fabulous-it looks roomy and comfortable! I love this traditional stone color-it also comes in black! Burberry trench coats are the best as far as I'm concerned. I found this trench online at Nordstrom. Burberry classic style trench coats can sometimes be found in consignment shops or second-hand boutiques!

And, instead of my fur lined winter boots, I'm looking forward to donning waterproof rubber boots to slosh through those puddles!

Animal print rubber boots photo

Look what I found! Aren't these funky and fashionable all at the same time! And wouldn't these be perfect with the Burberry trench! These are the must-have boots for spring, if you ask me. These boots are the Cheetah Double Buckle Rain Boots by Chooka-from Chooka's Women's Signature Collection. I found these at Lori's Shoes. I'm loving the go-with-everything all-over animal print and the double buckles!

Skinny jeans Spring Summer 2009 photoJeans in all styles are sooo hot for Spring and Summer. If you're loving skinny jeans-this rocker look might be for you. These are from Christophe Decarnin-at the Paris, Spring 2009 Runway! These contemporary style jeans have a grunge edge-except these are not worn with the customary ratty grunge t-shirt! These acid-washed, bleached and ripped jeans do take me back to the 80s! And if you're not into the ripped, torn look, just the acid washed, bleached look is sizzling hot. Critical to pull off this particular look-a square-shouldered jacket-a military style jacket can be totally fabulous! Wear this look with a skinny metallic belt. And aren't the strappy jewel encrusted heels to-die-for!

Fashion Design Trends Wearing Hot Ankle Cropped Pants Spring Summer 2009

Fashion Design Trends
Wearing Hot Ankle Cropped Pants
Spring Summer 2009

GianfrancoFerre Pants Spring Summer 2009 photoTrousers of all types are hotter than ever for spring/summer 2009 and the trendy 7/8th ankle cropped pant was sooo popular on the spring runways. The 7/8th ankle crop length leaves a bare ankle-this length is long enough to give the leg a long look, but short enough to leave room for sandal ankle straps to show. This ankle length works for almost everyone-no matter what your height. Perfect for showing off those gorgeous strappy spring and summer heels.

This cropped pant length was seen on the runways in straight, skinny, and more relaxed, slouchy leg styles. In general, (Remember, there are no rules!) the straight leg style seems to work for a dressy or professional look, the slim, skinny pant works for a more hip and trendy look, and the more relaxed fit, of course, works for casual wear. You can have such fun with these pants-wear these with a short jacket or a long blazer over a little shell or a stand-out blouse for a fabulous pulled together look!

This is not to say other lengths of cropped pants are out of style-they're not-cropped pants of various lengths are in. Cropped pants sometimes called pedal pushers, clam diggers, or capris end just under the knee or midway between the knee and ankle. These shorter cropped pants are perfect for hot summer days or a day at the beach. The harem pant, another option in a cropped pant, is hot right now-these have a drapey drop from the waist and are tight at the bottom leg-these usually hit the calf midway between the knee and ankle. One caution-shorter cropped pants may not be appropriate for you if you're petite-they can cut you off making you look shorter than you already are!

Steps to a Perfect Manicure

  • Remove old polish using a cotton ball-use a Q-tip to get hard to reach spots.

  • Clip any jagged nails with a nail clipper. File nails to a slightly rounded shape-filing from the outside in-file in one direction only!

  • Apply cuticle remover and soak nail for a few minutes in a warm nail bath.

  • Push back cuticles, trim hangnails, moisturize cuticles and wash hands.

  • Apply base coat-let dry a couple minutes and apply one coat of color. Make sure you're using fresh nail color-light even coats of polish work best!

  • After a few minutes, apply a second coat of color-brush color under the tip of the nail to discourage chipping.

  • Wait a few minutes and then apply a clear topcoat. Let nails dry and harden for at least 30 minutes.

Aren't these Missoni wide-leg, palazzo style, pant looks fabulous!

Missoni Wide Leg Pants Spring Summer 2009 photoAlmost anything goes in trousers for Spring 2009. There are straight leg, flared, harem, cropped, wide-leg and skinny pants-just to name a few styles! Of course, the first thing to consider is what looks good on you and go from there. If you're looking for a more dressy pant you may want to try a pleated, wide-leg trouser. A caution-because of the volume of these long, flowy pants they do work best on taller women!

Oh my, but aren't these Missoni wide-leg, palazzo style, pant looks fabulous! These looks are from the Spring 2009 Runway! These trouser looks work so well because the proportion is just right! The pleated, flowy pants are balanced by broad-shouldered tops and wide belts. Stunningly beautful looks!

Young, fresh and modern are words used to describe the Derek Lam Spring 2009 Collection. This collection, including softly tailored pieces, natural looking makeup, and bobbed hair, epitomizes one of 2009's key looks-that of the young, chic, with-it woman whose natural beauty and strong sense-of-self allow her to express her sensuality.

The chic bobbed hair look with the long side bangs was created by Orlando Pita for T360. Pita gave all the models a faux bob with a side part. Pita accomplished this by putting models' long hair into ponytails which he crisscrossed and turned under to create the bobbed look.
