A-Listers have been seen everywhere with the bag after it was chosen as the goodie-bag for guests at the 2007 Vanity Fair Oscar night party. So now it's the trendiest-hardest to get bag! And it sells for a mere $15 if you could find it to buy it. Bags went on sale in the US at Anya Hindmarch and Fred Segal stores June 20 where bag enthusiasts lined up as early as four in the morning-bags sold out in a few hours. See photos of the "event" at LAist. More I’m Not A Plastic Bag bags will go on sale July 18 in selected US East Coast Whole Foods Market stores. I can't imagine what the scene will be like at those stores.
If you can't bear the hassle it takes to get one of these bags you might try eBay where I’m Not A Plastic Bag bags are selling for up to ten times their original cost. I've read that there are lots of copies being sold on eBay-so beware!
And, oh yes, as hard as I've been fighting it, I, too, am losing it! I'm getting caught up in the I’m Not A Plastic Bag hysteria! What is it about anyway? It's certainly not about saving the earth-I can do my thing to save the earth with any $5 canvas tote! I guess the idea of getting an Anya Hindmarch bag for $15 is exciting and then there's the scarcity factor. Oh yes, I just have to have one of these bags! And I certainly wouldn't be putting groceries in it-I'd have it over my shoulder for an afternoon out boutique shopping or out to lunch! What fun! I can only dream!

I was one of those nuts that waited in line for a few bags.. and despite torrential rain and being soaked.. got them! I put some up on Ebay and save 2 for myself. They're cute, but I'm not sure I'd wait in line just to HAVE one.. resale was what I was about.. as a stay at home mom, I wanted to make some extra money for vacation! Want to buy one of mine??? :)
