Yes, lips on the Jason Wu spring runway were bold in this matte reddish-orange shade Scarlet Ibis from MAC Cosmetics! I'm loving bold lipstick more than ever--these really grownup shades are appealing in so many ways! Especially hot right now are all shades of orange including reddish-orange shades like Scarlet Ibis. This color is sold out at MAC.com but if you look around you may be able to find it elsewhere.

For the Jason Wu runway, lips were first outlined with Redd lip pencil-- Scarlet Ibis lipstick was applied--lastly a touch of MAC Pigment in Neo Orange was applied.

Fashion Design Trends Wearing Colored Denim Jeans Spring Colors 2012

Oh my gosh, aren't these raspberry colored denim jeans fabulous, especially worn with this little black jacket--as styled by French fashion blogger Coline of Et pourquoi pas Coline! While the raspberry denims are super fabulous the little black jacket is even more fabulous and a wardrobe essential for spring to wear with spring colors and prints alike! Having a few black jackets in different weights helps to really expand a wardrobe no matter what the season!




Oh, and Another Thing...

Have you had your annual winter cold yet? I have mine right now--I'm suffering with the usual symptoms--the stuffy nose, sore throat and the like. I tried Zicam but it didn't help--I think I just wasn't quick enough with it--you have to catch it very early for Zicam to help! So here I sit blogging through watery eyes, desperately trying to focus on words swimming across the computer screen.

I feel like I need a little chicken soup--I ran across a chicken soup recipe the other day that was made using a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store--of course, I wasn't sick then so I didn't copy the recipe--I wish I had!

Fashion Design Trends Hot Looks for Early Spring Club Monaco

Yes, I think a little fashion inspiration for late winter, early spring is in order! It's that time of year right now when it's sooo easy for me to get the blahs and I need some fun looks to inspire me!
I especially love these easy looks from Club Monaco--nothing complicated here--just some very cool layering!




Oh, and Another Thing...

I probably shouldn't bring this up (not a fun topic for some), but are you on a diet, or should I say, on a healthy eating plan? It seems that everyone I know is trying to eat healthier--I seriously started cutting out the fat and eating better (which means less) a week ago and I've lost three pounds-- which makes me very happy!

I'll keep you posted as to my progress. I've been using I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray as a butter substitute--butter is a major weakness for me! And, of course, portion control is the biggie for me-- especially cutting back on meat and eating more salad and veggies!
